Bring More Power To Your List

ANN: DroidUX 1.5 Is Here!

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of the latest release of DroidUX UI component library version 1.5.

Thanks for all the feedback that we've received, requesting features that you'd like to see the most to be added into our products.  We really value our customers feedbacks.

In this release we introduce two new categories of widgets, and some other new widget and excellent features.

The first category of widgets is the Lists widgets.  We have so many requests for this type of widgets, and understandably so, considering that the list widget is one of the most used type of widget in mobile applications.  The Android SDK comes with a powerful ListView widget, however it misses some of the features that are becoming more common in the modern and connected apps, such as the simplicity to work with web images, the built-in capability to load data on-demand, and other powerful design pattern, such as the "pull-to-refresh" feature, popularised by great apps such as the Twitter, Pulse, and others.  The new DuxListView makes it extremely easy to implement those features with just few lines of codes. And this is just a start.  We are actively and continuously innovating and will add exciting new widgets and features for the Lists in the future releases.

The second new category introduced in this release is the Pull-to-refresh widgets. The "pull-to-refresh" design pattern is becoming more common and used a lot in modern and connected apps.  It's been effectively used in conjunction with list type of widgets.  But the design pattern work also well with some other widgets, such as ScrollView, GridView, and others.  The Vertical PullToRefresh widget makes it practically just a plug-and-play to add the pull-to-refresh feature to virtually any kind of widgets.

Another new addition in this release is the UrlImageView, which you can easily use with web image resources, just by setting its url.  This widget is also the first widget in our collection which features rounded corner, which can easily be customized by setting the corner radius.

In addition to that we've also updated the GalleryFlows widgets to support the UrlImageAdapter adapter, which allows them to easily work with web images, like their new sibling the {zoocategory:lists) widgets.
